Twinskin
Systems TS 20
Cost effective insulated double glazed natural lighting roof
system
Introduction
Project specifiers are increasingly becoming aware of the benefits
of utilizing FGW Corporation Twinskin Systems (TS 20) when designing facilities
where condensation and varying temperature fluctuations are an important
factor in design considerations.
The system, first implemented in 2005 on the Invercargill velodrome
complex, was well received and more recently designers have readily
accepted the system as a cost effective natural lighting system
offering thermal resistance and acoustic characteristics not previously
available in single sheeting applications.
With rising energy costs tenants can enjoy their working environment
with less heating and lighting bills than previously experienced,
as the system, when utilized up to as much as 30% of roof area offers
diffused lighting with shadowing almost eliminated and offering
the working environment a passive interior lighting concept.
The system originally tested for thermal resistance has more recently
been tested for light and heat transmission and full reports are
available. Please contact us.
Key Benefits
- Provides a cost effective insulated double glazed natural lighting
roof system
- Reduces energy costs and heat loss
- Eliminates condensation
- Provides good thermal properties
- Compatible with all trapezoidal metal roofing profiles
- Hassle free installation
- Full independent Engineers Test Report available
Applications
For use where severe condensation maybe of concern
Or to form a thermal barrier to prevent heat loss or solar heat
gain.
